Need advice on what to do with this fireplace. This is the focus wall in my living room. It use to be a whole wall of that black gray rock but we covered the rock with Sheetrock Behind the tv. The beams on the ceiling use to be stained. We painted them white and now I hate them. We are going to remove them. The closet next to fireplace is an eyesore so we decided to remove it and create. Maybe put some open shelves there. Or some kind of storage piece. The tv stand is going. We are looking to get something in its place. Don't want a bulky wall unit though. My style is contemporary/transitional. Any suggestions?
