I would be patient because it looks like to me, I see leaf nodes swelling which will produce new branching ..,

some may take time to re branch, but i do see some signs of activity!!!

I have an adenium that we didn't prune for years. I pruned it this year and the results were unbelievable. I think I have about 5-7 new branches on it per ones i cut.

Anyways, i wouldn't worry. Plumerias and adeniums are odd beasts. They might take a bit, but you'll get branches. Sometimes you'll get them around the tip, or you might even see branching way down the limb, more than half a foot away from the cut.

You both were right of course. New branches coming in!
