Not necessarily pure red, you would have to research or poll others on heat tolerance....Duvachelle, Mango Blush, Thornton Raspberry. Just my two cents.

I don't think Hilo Beauty is particularly heat tolerant. It loves water and seems to do better even in my summers with just a touch of shade.

Some of those you've posted are sensitive (Hilo, Waimea), some are shade loving (Wildfire, Waimea, Kimi--well, most reds are actually), and some are poor bloomers (I'm look in' at you, Wildfire!).

The Reds that seem to like heat best are the Thai reds. I love Gina for its foliage and blooms. Kimi, Waimea and Wildfire just haven't bloomed for me, tho a friend here in central Texas has had Kimi blooms and they're stunning.

Desert Sunrise isn't really red but more orange-to-red. A gorgeous bloomer, tho!

Siam Red is a good choice, and I hear Siam Ruby is even better. Bangkok Fire might be good, too. When my JL Thai Red blooms, I'll let you know how it is. But I keep most of my reds out of the worst afternoon sun because they scorch so much full sun here in Austin.

Scott Pratt is an option too. I know of a few that have trees in ground in corona/rancho cuc area. Great foliage and pretty good bloomer
