Spring rose "scenes"

I have been trying to catch up on my photos, now that it is so hot outside. 101 predicted for today--temps, not roses! Here are some scenes from last month, before the high temps struck.

Starring Chris Marlowe (above)

Starring Julia Child

Love and Peace

Starring Lyda Rose (above)

Graham Thomas behind, also Hot Cocoa, Symphony, Sharon's Choice (white),

Chris Marlowe (pink on right), and Silver Star (lavender), and a bit of Marilyn Monroe

Silver Star, Vavoom, Symphony, and Hot Cocoa

and Cinco de Mayo, who creates a scene all by itself, being more than 4 feet wide when in bloom. Repeats often.

Thanks for looking!

    Stunning!

Maybe if I show these to my roses they will shape up.

Except for the heat, I would never know when to come inside...mesmerizing!

Seriously beautiful! Looks like you are having a beautiful rosey spring. The temps are in the low 90's here. I sooooo hope we don't hit the 100's. I hope you get thru this heat wave unscathed. Judy

    Lovely blooms and garden.

Zippity1, I will do what you ask but I will go out tomorrow morning to take a photo. It is unfair to do it now, when it is an oven out there!

Thanks, Judy, but above 95 or so, nothing is unscathed. As far as the roses, that is.

I love your garden shots--especially the one with Love & Peace. It made me regret that I no longer had one. : (

Just incredible! Your roses look fantastic despite the heat. Love your Lyda and Julia Child bushes.

    Wow! Beautiful scenes Kathy!!

What a gorgeous flush. 'Chris Marlowe' looks especially nice.

We're heading into the 90's. Wilt time for me and the roses.

Incredibly beautiful! Thank you so much for posting these photos of your roses. It's hard for me to comprehend having such abundance already in the year when up here I am anxiously watching for the first bud of the year to open somewhere in the garden (and that will probably be Williams Double Yellow.)

I love these kind of rose shots. The pics of the whole bush and garden. Thanks ever so much. They are beautiful.

For zippity1, who wanted to know what the garden looks like in our triple digit temps, here is Just Joey, who is in her second flush. This rose loves to repeat and really is never out of blooms.

Jean Giono, who also never quit, is up against the back fence. Her neighbors on both sides are working on their returns but more slowly. Yesterday, my Angel Face out front, loaded with just opened flowers, toasted to a crisp. Oh well, to be expected in this hostile climate. If it weren't for the grandbabies, I'd be out of here!

REALLY enjoy the garden and full bush shots of everything. Love & Peace looks really nice.

WOW! Wish you lived next to me! That is one gorgeous yard.

Even we are getting a bit warm here, 88 today and 92 degrees tomorrow. But luckily here it won't last long.
