I have a row of bounganvilleas that are currently happy being watered once a week in the summer months with a drip system. i would like to tap off that irrigation line to build a drip system for a raised vegetable bed (~12 ft x 3 ft). I could, of course hand water the raised bed and make no changes to the current watering schedule, but I wanted to know if it is a good idea to add in a pressure reducer or regulator on the current line going to the bouganvilleas but have the full pressure available to the vegetable bed. in other words, the bed gets watering three times a week, and so do the bouganvilleas at the same time - but at a much reduced rate and I don't end up over-watering the bouganvilleas.

Is this a sound idea ? If so, can you please recommend some easy to install and preferably adjustable pressure regulators. I have read comments online about not mixing and matching sprinklers and drip systems. In my case, both irrigation lines will have drip emitters.
