There are no windows. It is small -- about 18 L x14W. It is next to the kitchen which has blue/green/silver ish backsplash.

Thanks! I'd love to see a photo of the chandelier, however, here's what's in my head: on the buffet, 2 complementary lights. For the rug design I'm seeing a modern-Ish rug w circles (similar to FLWright, I'll see if I can find an example.) Use complementary colors for the chairs. Create an art wall with mirrors opposite to make the room feel larger.

A picture of the light fixture and kitchen would help us get a better feel for the space, light and colours. Not that it all needs to match, but the colours should at least complement each other. Love the dining room set. Rosewood or teak?

Blues and rosewood can work nicely together and sounds like that might work with your kitchen. Possibly reupholster in a darker charcoal grey/blue wool. Here's some inspiration pics.

Imagine the room below with white fabric on the chairs (leather?). Then I would do an nice arrangement with your white pottery on the buffet and add a really large piece of art above. Your chandelier will tie in nicely and the room feel simple and classic. If the floors are in good shape, I wouldn't add a rug...keep it fresh and minimal. The other option is to consider the vibrancy of the above suggestions. It really is a matter of how you want the room to feel.

Lotte lamps are wonderful in a MCM room. This lamp in Ultramarine would be lovely with the grey walls and the rosewood. 1 would probably be better than 2. Go asymmetric.
