Also, you might find a few current seed offers for SASE by individuals with extra seeds. I'm not sure if Val is mailing at the moment, but you can do a search for a current offer to the: "Newbie Seed Project" (with current month). She collects seed donations from us and distributes them to Newbies for postage.

Note: Another important matter is updating your profile so you can receive messages. See your ADVANCED SETTINGS. You also need to post your planting zone so others see where you are located. Please note also my reply. Jack is in Wales, UK, so the seed exchange on GW is probably not going to be much help. I made some suggestions on his other thread.

I don't know if things have changed, but it used to be clearly against the rules to do this. Anyone with a computer and internet access can afford a few cheap seed packs, if they don't already have seeds to trade from their own garden. Jack didn't necessarily ask for free seeds, so this is not about him, but asking for seeds for postage on GardenWeb is not polite. Accepting an offer of seeds for postage is an entirely different thing.
