It looks as if you do not have a basement. So, a raised ranch, Colonial Style, is my best guess.

I do have a basement and it isn't a split level, but I appreciate your help! I just didn't see anything that defined the architecture.

How about another picture? Take it from the front door, but angle it toward the ground at the front step. Something is "off'.

i guess its an underlying desire to be attached/connected to the past. we unexpectedly bought an old house 7 years ago and i had to get up to speed on bits of victorian architecture so i knew what was right on the house and what might have been a remuddle.

its the same gene that makes us need to know exactly where our oysters came from when we dine out, perhaps.

What year was the home built? You definitely have some Georgian elements - however you don't have any dormers in the attic. I'd say the porch cover is more typical of the Federal style.

leatrice, its a suburban home called a garrison colonial, which was a style of the 1700s when the second floor overhung the first. (as opposed to a straight front colonial...which had a straight front.) don't add circle topped windows as they're from the 1980s, referencing the palladian style from the early 1700s in england which referenced the builder Andrea Palladio who was born in 1500 in italy. nor diagonal siding, which was big in the 1970s. fancy porch trim was a feature of the later 1800s, so dont do that either.

but mostly its just itself, a suburban style house, to enjoy. i'd leave it just as it is now.

Well I'd say two-story symmetrical with colonial-style entry. I like it. We used to call these "plain janes" when the fronts were flat, but yours pops out. Simple, clean, mostly unadorned.
