Great, colorful quilts. I really like that herring bone pattern. I may try something like that with the leftover squares from my antique star quilt. You are so generous to donate them all.

Sue, That's what I love about posting pictures of our quilts. There are so many ideas out there, we're sure to miss something. I think if someone didn't want a pattern copied, they wouldn't post it on the internet where we look for great looking easy patterns. I'm always looking for ways to use novelty fabric for donations to kids. We donate lots of quilt on another forum, but mostly at the end of the year. One gal (East Coast) donates to a local VA, lap size and wheelchair size and also to a kids hospital close by. Another gal (West Coast) donates to an agency we choose yearly. This year they're going to Foster kids.

They're all lovely. That disappearing 16 patch is awesome.

Your quilts are always lovely. I don't know how you get so much done. So glad you're donating to the foster kids. I run a support group for foster parents where we provide free mandated training and child care once a month. Bad me, I never thought about making each child a quilt. We do a Christmas party for them and wouldn't they love a small quilt. I have several ladies from the volunteers who would be happy to help me. Thanks for the idea.

Thank you, Bev. Last year our group donated almost 300 quilts to various places. A couple of our members passed away last year so some of us are trying to make up for what they would have made. Not sure we're going to make it, though. It's easiest for me to just make tops so I send them off to whoever wants to finish them. Most of the time, for kids, we just put fleece on the back without batting, and they seem to be just as happy with them, plus, I think they'll take being used and washed a lot much better. Have fun with your endeavor.

Love them, and you are putting the rest of us to shame.

Very nice. I like the hearts and corner posts on the frozen quilt. Is that the backing fabric behind it?

I haven't decided on the backing fabric yet. What is behind it is a flannel to cover the design board and it's been on there so long it needs to be replaced. I'm just not sure what I want to replace it with. :-)
