Does the house need painting? You really need a different color roof for your suggested colors to work.

And what about trim -- white too?

I would go with white - white is classic and your home will look gorgeous. I feel like gray is a trend.

White would be better than that yellow, IMO. Not the very best choice, however. I'd be looking for a slatey, warm blue. The important thing is to make sure the color coordinates with the roof.....try using the webtools from various paint manufacturers that allow you to apply the color to your photo. Also get a big piece of white material to paint a huge swatch and prop against wall or hang from window.

Go more in the taupe range (gray/tan, green/tan). These will work better with the roof than a cool gray.

Stick with a historical color palette and it will be hard to go wrong. I like to use Farrow and Ball British color chart as a guide.
