I think if they bloomed then they could have set fruit. I would hand pollinate them next year with a small (kids) paint brush. Move the loose pollen from an older flower on one tree a younger flower on the other and vice versa. Are these seedling trees or 2 different named varieties??

Thanks, Not sure about that. Ordered from a Nursery, got them bare rooted. Nursery said you needed two trees for pollination. That could be the problem. Both the same variety tree, I suppose.

Paw paws supposedly are hard to pollinate. I'm growing some now 6 ft apart hoping that helps.

It is unlikely that you got grafted plants and not know it. Unless they were relatively expensive (>$25 even for a very small plant) and came with a name, e.g., 'Davis,' 'Overleese,' you likely got seedlings, any of which should happily cross with pollination.

Pawpaws rely on flies for pollination, but aren't great at attracting them.

I have been told putting something dead by the tree can help?
