Hey nighthawk, I was going to ask the same question, I wanted to add a mango variety to the garden that keeps my mango craze going!

@Daniel - Bottom line is if you want Mango's in Late September Keitt is probably the ONLY good choice. Keitt reliably produces good tasting fruit, tho it is a bit of a scraggly looking tree. I'll be planting a Keitt along with Edward, Maha Chinook and Lemon Zest this Spring to go with my other ones. Rosigold is a very early variety that I'm also considering.

Yeah I also wanted a early season as well but the owner of the nursery that I go to told me Angie is his favorite and highly recommended. He told me sweet as candy!

Ironically the best early is also one of the overall best - Edward which can bear as early as March and often in May. Angie comes early, but probably not early enough. Next to Edward, Rosigold is the best early option. Choc Anon will sometimes fruit in the winter, but the flavor is only so-so despite what the people who sell it say apparently.

Get an Edward - if that's not consistently early enough look at the Rosigold.

My Mango Collection Is

Edward - Very Early to Early (varies)
Carrie - Mid
Valencia Pride - Mid Late (Kent can also be used)
Lemon Zest - Mid Late?
Keitt - Very Late

IMHO these 5 should form the basis for any mango collection where kick ass flavor & reliable extended harvest is the goal.
