Where are the Silicon Valley gardening groups?

I just moved to the Saratoga/Cupertino area, but I can't seem to find any local gardening groups online. Considering how many people garden around here, I'm starting to doubt my research capabilities. Can you point me in the direction of any good gardening groups/exchanges/libraries in my area? Just looking to exchange seeds, ask my dumb questions, and socialize :)

Try the Santa Clara Master Gardeners site for more information. There are local gardening clubs, but most are focused on a single type of plant (e.g. roses, Iris, fuschia etc.) I know there is a Garden Club of Los Altos. Here is a link to more clubs -

I suggest checking with your library too. In Mountain View, the library has a seed exchange group.

You probably could look for specific groups. Name any plant and their is a society for it someplace in the bay area and many shows all over the bay area even if most and largest are in San Francisco.
