Does your mower have the hi-vac deck or is it an actual mulching deck? I know that it's quite a challenge mulching with a hi-vac deck no matter what blade you're using, although the ninja blade seems to be best. Here's my experience: the few times I've mulched (and I only have hi-vac decks) I have bagged at a higher setting first then went back over at one or two notches lower to mulch. If the grass is too tall it will just plug up underneath and make a big mess. Best when the grass is dry too but it's a real challenge no matter what with the hi-vac deck. I have heard (never used one) that the mulching decks do a much better job. If I had to have a dedicated mulching mower I'd probably not use a snapper. Hope that helps some.

The mower does not cut the grass properly at all. I would highly recommend anyone buying a mower to steer very clear from Snapper.

It's all in the technique. I went through the whole thing with trying different blades and different cutting heights and whatever else you all have tried. I own the P217019BVE serial 2000527757. Motor number is 128607 0113 E1 05100. I had company reps come to my property to see what they could do. They didn't have a clue. Clearly it is the worst cut quality if you cut in rows. But believe me. I learned the technique. Always cut in counterclockwise squares. I'm surprised Snapper never explained this. I just had to learn on my own how to use it. My yard looks beautiful every time I cut. I think it's the mulching capabilities that hooked me. It's so worth it. I only fertilize once or twice a year. I would definitely buy it again.
