I have (if memory serves me) a burr oak in a container. I know this is probably a horrible tree for a container. I switched it to the 5-1-1 mix and it's growing like crazy. It must be ten feet tall. I don't really want it any taller as it's on a windy rooftop. Is it okay to chop the main leader in early June to stop upward growth? Will that stop it?
