last fall i traveled to japan - loved the rice paddies - now, i would like to create a memory - i have four areas the size - 8 inches wide and 6 feet long

please recommend a grass - short - 8 to 12 inches - thin - zone seven - hot, sunny and dry in july and august

as an extra - maybe a grass that blooms and has interesting fall colors
