Help me kill this

So ive got this growing around my house all around the foundation. I beat it back with a weed whacker last year. This year I want to kill it off. I've hit it 3x with round up with a spreader sticker mixed in and nothing. The apps were 10 days apart. So over 30 days. I recently bought "high yield weed killer" that's 41% glyphosate. And it seemed to laugh it off. Anyone have any ideas how to nuke this?

You need something triclopyr based. Try " Ortho Weed B Gon Chickweed, Clover & Oxalis".

That's English ivy. It grows with long, tough runners. You might need to dig it out. Fortunately it comes out relatively easily, because the tough runners don't break easily. You can pull up 10 feet of it at one time.

J4c11 ... I assumed glyphosate would kill anything that Triclopyr would. Guess I was wrong.

dchall ... I was afraid that would be the case. Some of it is right near a tree. It makes it rather difficult to dig in that area from the tree roots.

Just pull it out. When you get to a piece that's dug in with older roots, then you might have to dig some.

When you sprayed the RoundUp with the sticker on it, did the stuff seem to stick to the leaves or did it roll off?

You might try dusting it with baking soda. You definitely need to get water to stick to it for that.

Diesel fuel or heating oil spray.

Pure orange oil mixed with strong vinegar. Spray it on the leaves.

It stuck pretty well to the leaves to the point I was rather surprised. Sounds like pulling it will be the best bet expect where the tree is. I can see that being problematic. Sounds like I'll have a "fun" weekend ahead of me!

Pulling weeds by hand can be very therapeutic. Plus it's nice to see the difference between before and after. Instant gratification.

Scroll to the bottom of the link where it discusses glyphosate. Looks like you have to use it at the right time of year. I had a curious experience with ivy like this. At one point we had maybe 1000 sf of ivy in the back yard, and it lived unattended, other than cutting it back periodically, for many years. One day, I noticed that it was all dying off. Before I knew it it was completely gone! The only thing I can think of is having used some weed and feed some time before that on nearby grass. Having learned some since that time, I don't think that had anything to do with it. If I knew what happened I would tell you to do the same thing, but it shall forever remain a mystery!

I prefer to use chemical control when available. Pulling may leave a piece of root stuck in the ground and next thing you know it's growing back. Triclopyr should kill it.
