Right underneath the comment box is a camera that says 'Photo' to the right of the image. Depending on your computer/tablet, it will ask Which library or hard-drive you wish to use an image from.

Hope this helps... Be patient when you select an image, as sometimes the full-sized images take a while.

Anyway...As you can see, the Dahlia is tall lanky and doesn't look like it'll produce much. Any thoughts?

I would pinch out the top growth to force it to grow branches from each leaf junction. this will make it fill out instead of up.

Some growers would suggest cutting the plant in half at the second set of leaves, but that would limit the potential of your plant.

I have found that the plant will take care of itself. If it's really too long and lanky, either the stem will pinch and the top will die, or a new sprout will emerge from the tuber and quickly overtake the current growth, or both of these things will happen.

If you have multiple plants like this, I'd recommend you experimenting differently with each, and compare your results. You will learn much more by hands-on learning then anyone's written words.
