Hi! I love this. I am wanting to redo my railings, but what would you suggest me do considering I already have cedar "poles" up (I am just wanting to replace the railings) and I love these pipes. And I am not very good at this stuff I would be recruiting my dad. Ha! =) Thanks!

This project is about 5 years old, and we had the luxury of installing the posts as the railing was being built, so it was done in sections, with the metal railing threaded through holes in the posts. They are painted gas pipe, but I believe now there are multiple sources for pre-painted horizontal railing systems that would be better suited for this application, but gas pipe was very cheap(!)

Our carpenter said exactly that when we were talking through how to install this--he plans to do one section at a time, adding the rail as he goes. Thank you so much for the information! We are on a budget, so I love the gas pipe suggestion. :) Do you happen to remember what size piping it was? Much appreciated!
