I had one a few years ago but i dumped it and the bulbs are still growing.

Ha! Isn't that something! You can't kill them in these climates. There's too much constant humidity in the air. C'mon, Stuart, be a sport & plant them ... Those babies want to live!

I keep bulbs potted in shallow pots under filtered sun in the side yard and pretty much forget them. I just prune the dead leaves, occasionally separate out the babies, and water / fertilize about every 2 months.

When they flower, I bring them onto the porch for everyone to enjoy, rotating these, amaryllis, and a few others. That way, no one gets bored!

Stuart, Blood Lily is very easy to take care.

Look at mine Blood Lily this year. I also post few pictures after the blooms died. I have about 25 blooms this year. Some still in full bloom as today.

Wow, those are spectacular, not seen them here in the UK, something else to look out for I guess! Marie, you will soon have as many of those as you have Adeniums, lol. Here's my Apple Blossom amaryllis it's got four flowers approx 8 inch diameter...

Gill, all you need is one bulb of blood lily and plant it in the ground, next year you will have 3 smaller babies and when those babies get a little bigger, you have 9-12 babies. They growing wild with so many offspring.

I love amaryllis. I wait until after Christmas and watch for sale on those amaryllis.

This year I got 57 of them for $1.50 each from $9.99 original price. I only keep 10 and share other with my friends.
