Another one that shocked me that I liked it so much is Sons of Anarchy.

I was also shocked that I got into SOA. However, I tapped out the season before the last. It was just too much violence to deal with ;-(

I agree about Olivia Coleman, she was excellent in Broadchurch. I was so moved by the scene when the boy's father is viewing his body and apologizing for not protecting him. She's standing there, observing both as a police officer and family friend, and the tear rolls down her face, she expressed so much emotion in that one brief scene. The whole cast and story was great on that show. She's in another show, called Night Manager maybe, that has been recommended to me (because of her) but I haven't watched it yet.

Coleman was great in The Night Manager. It was a good series and just the right length. I enjoyed it.

It's funny how once I see British actors in a couple shows, suddenly they're everywhere!

I think I've probably seen every episode of Big Bang Theory 3 or 4 times. I'm sure the run is near an end. The writing doesn't seem to be as sharp as it once was.

Oh, I loved Lost. We watched on regular TV but I bet it's even better to binge watch. And I love Veep if only for the brilliant profanity that Julia L-D spews. Love her.

We watched both seasons of Fargo, loved it. Also watched the American version of Broadchurch...can't remember what it was called now.

My DS and his GF binge watched Dexter together. It was funny, they're both college students and they wouldn't watch it when apart, so they'd come home on breaks and watch together. They are looking for a new series so I'll have to share these ideas with them too!

Oh, and I watched 500 episodes of SYTTD with my DD when she was maybe 11 or 12. I kinda miss it! She moved on to cooking shows after that, and now, at 15, is obsessed with NCIS. Which is funny because this is a girl who was afraid of all the Disney movies.

So, I watched episode 1 of Six Feet Under last night and I am hooked!! Thank you to whoever suggested that... and thank you to everyone else too, because I have a list now that should keep me busy (okay, idle) until 2017!

Yes, binge-watching Lost was fun, especially since I had a crush on Michael Fox and could re-run his scenes. And when at the end of an episode DH and I would look at each other and be all "HUH?", we could go straight to the next one in hopes of clarification. Which there usually wasn't.

Another Bosch fan, of the books and the series. I wonder if it doesn't help, in fact, to have read some of the books in order to understand the show.

TLC had a sweet little show several years ago, On the Road With Austin and Santino, in which these two designers traveled around the country and made special outfits for women who were celebrating an important event (anniversary on a Montana ranch, humanitarian award in the Great Smokies, rise-in-rank on a military base). Very corny and some would say kitsch, but I loved it and was sometimes teary-eyed. Austin and Santino would arrive, fairly flamboyantly, in usually a rural setting, explore the area, meet the people, search for materials in local stores, make the dress, and participate in the celebration. It was both funny and very kind. I imagine that the critics killed it. What do they know?

We don't binge. We have a rule - no more than one episode of a program per sitting. Plus we don't sit around long enough to binge on TV.

OMG!!!! I just looked up Bosch because so many suggested it. I didn't dare hope it was based on Michael Connelly's books, but it is! I love those books so much. Has anyone that reads the books watch d the show? It's really worthy? I can't wait. Thank you all so much!

Yes, it seems that several of us, including me, have both read and watched Bosch. The thing is, though, that the show combines elements of different books, in other words, more than one plotline is usually happening. I think this is because you couldm't fit an entire book into a one-hour episode. IMO it's a fine series; Titus Welliver, who plays Bosch, is excellent. Very noir.

I'm a baby binge-watcher, having only done so for a handful of shows: I spent a summer plowing through the Sopranos back in the Netflix DVR rental days; great show but sooooo dark. Have also binged on Orange is the New Black and Breaking Bad. I tried Six Feet Under but found it so horribly depressing and upsetting that I quickly abandoned that. Otherwise, no.

I just don't have much of a taste for television and vastly prefer to spend spare relaxation time reading. I also have a personal policy of not watching tv series based on books when the books are still being produced (thus no Bosch or Game of Thrones). However I have also put Downton Abbey on my someday-binge list.

Loved The Newsroom, but couldn't get past the first episode of West Wing. That's when we moved on to House of Cards.

For years I told dh how good Lost was. He finally borrowed season one from the library and started watching last night. Now he's in there watching more. Think it's safe to say he's hooked!

I am binge watching The Walking Dead. I have not seen so much guts and gore in my life. I don't know why I keep watching it, but it has me hooked.

DD and I binged on The Gilmore Girls (lame, I know, but we adored it!).

I'm not normally a binge watcher, but my 22y/o DD just had her tonsils out on Tuesday morning and we are now binge watching "Fraser" and "Grace & Frankie" while she recovers. With afternoon temps hitting around 100-degrees here, this is probably a sane way to spend a few days. Relaxing inside, in air conditioning.

Mindless summer binging- "UnREAL" on Lifetime. It's a drama/soap about the making of a reality tv show called "Enchanted", which is really modeled after "The Bachelor". It takes a nasty-fun look at the "real" making of "reality tv".

I binged on Six Feet Under the last couple of weeks and now I'm watching Dexter. It's been interesting to compare Michael C. Hall in each of them. He is a really good actor!

I just started watching "Grace and Frankie". Love the first episode (and the concept), thought the second and third were OK, and was not sure I would keep watching. Last night I watched Eps. 4 and 5 and think I will stay with it. It is so sweet at times, and shows how this is hard on everyone, in different ways. (PS, I am more the daughters' age than the mothers' age.) And I have always loved Sam Waterston ...

Binge watching Gilmore Girls right now. I had seen some episodes before because they were reruns on tbs or tnt in the morning before my classes back in college. Apparently I had watched more than I thought because most of the earlier seasons had stuff I remembered watching before. I'm on Season 6 and it seems like Rory makes really horrible judgement calls on guys, as do Lorelai for the most part (except Max). I'm just finishing so I can watch the revival once it's out in November.

Regarding "Grace and Frankie", I'm enjoying it. And, although I dress much more like Jane Fonda's character, Grace, I am enthralled with Frankie and her gorgeous outfits. Lily Tomlin's, Frankie, is such a hoot. I love her.

Love Lily Tomlin as Frankie! I'm savoring each episode from season one since our library doesn't have season two yet.

I love Frankie's house! For some reason it just calls to me-classy and hippie-ish! It's hard to get those two combinations right, IMO.
