Agree. Note, too, how nicely the tan colors in the pillows above go with both of your paint colors. what about keeping the lighter color and painting the accent wall in a light tan color? If you get the right combination, I actually think 'drab' will turn to 'striking.' I also think the lighter paint color goes better with your couch.

I don't think the paint looks at all bad with your couch. I think Elle is right, you need to do the layering and styling now. Her pillow selection looks great.

I think it looks nice with your hardwood floors and couch. I would use one paint color throughout and not have an accent color. I have a similar wall and couch color and used this pillow from Target to accessorize. Good luck.
