Cold front has arrived!!

I am so excited I can barely type! The last weather forecast I heard said not until Thursday but in church today the minister said tomorrow and here it is already. I didn't buy gas for the mower because I didn't plan to mow in 100°. The wind is blowing 100mph but it's all good. It should dry the grass and I'll mow until I run out of gas. I don't know if the rain chances are still all week. I hate to complain about rain because so far I haven't had to water anything. We've been getting a measurable amount pretty regularly. I'm sure the garden will need to be weeded.

I wish it would come here. Enjoy your mowing, wind and all.

So glad it has cooled down for you, We are also enjoying cooler weather. I sat on my patio last night and dried my hair in the wind. Was so nice. Another nice day today but I am painting inside. Windy here too drying things out. I was caught up on the watering but will have to start in again tomorrow.

I'm just outside Counsel Bluffs, IA, and it is H-O-T, but the Arkansas humidity is behind me.

It's windy here, maybe it will push me closer to Grand Forks/Larimore.

I put clothes out yesterday, yes, on Sunday. It was a "safe" day with the wind out of the south so the dirt didn't blow on to them. By the time I had a load ready today it was ready to rain.

I got the north half of the pasture mowed and then when I got to the south side the PTO broke. With rain every day I will have a problem. I sprayed weeds in the fence line since neither of my neighbors do it. Then their weeds go to seed and grow on my side. It's easier to just pay for the spray and do it myself. I don't like to use it but there is no alternative. Pulling by hand is out of the question. I hope all those weeds drank it in before it rained.

We've had several days of beautiful weather, hot and dry, but breezy. All of my yard is finally dry enough to mow, and my pumpkins seeds are planted, so I'll take a little rain.

I was SHOCKED to wake to rain in the night. Certainly happy about it. Looks like it could rain some more today. Saves me from dragging hoses.

Sigh...........downpour just got over. Broken riding mower. Grass this high. Volunteer dill and flowers in the garden, more than I can pull but it won't do any good to hoe because next rain will just replant them. Possibly a handful of strawberries out there. The mosquitoes aren't so bad. I did use bug repellent the other day when I was working in the long grass in the shade. The chickweed is awful these past two years. Storm warnings for tonight. I don't know about tomorrow. It doesn't seem like their timing is hitting it even close. I turned the a/c off Sunday and it's been ok. Hot but not unbearable inside.

Edited to say: Well, I guess it isn't over after all. Got drenched doing chores.
