It certainly does look a lot like Cramosi Picote.

Here is my Cramosi Picote grown in part shade.

I think the first pictures do not show CP because the rose is not mottled. That could just be the photos or a natural variation. More importantly, the buds don't look right. CP buds are not pointy and are rather dark. The Old Rosarian's photo captures the unique buds very well.

Belmont, if not Cramoisi Picote, what else do you think it could be?

I'm sorry, it's not something I'm familiar with. It is intriguing. The small flower stumps me.

Do Gallicas usually have such prickly canes? I ask because I don't know, but seem to have read somewhere that they usually have fairly smooth canes.

Hopefully, someone more familiar with OGR's will chime in.
