Oh, thank you so much for the article! Very interesting & now may (?) explain my zucchini plants 'super growth' this year when I planted them surrounded by the red plastic! I really have no explanation for it as the only changes I made planting this year was the red plastic. I may experiment/try this now with some of the other garden plants that are still young yet: one plant 'with' & another of the same kind of plant 'without'!

Now.... I am wondering what the squash bugs will 'think' of it?! :)
