I don't believe that I understand your property. Is the construction stuff on yours or your neighbor's property? What is the black fence for? Is your mower a riding mower or hand driven?

I mostly have flat gra....um weeds, but I also have a steep drop to a ditch and I can climb directly up that steep area with the riding mower. I do also have a push gas mower that does other steep areas that won't work for the rider. It would certainly do your area, but if that fence goes and you can get a running start, a rider will climb it.

The construction is on the neighbor's side. Its a new development so they're still building. The black fence, I believe, is for erosion and will be coming off soon. I have a self-propelled push mower but when i tried to mow that area with it, the mower wanted to slide down and was tough to control. I'm not sure what a two cycle mower is but I assume its a smaller push mower?

Weed whacker or a rider and plan on sitting on the uphill fender in low gear. With a push or walkbehind mower, you'll have to get the tall stuff down with a weedwhacker and then keep after it, wear shoes wit cleats, to make your life easier if you go that route.

How ever you do this BE CAREFUL. I have a ditch about 100' long, that I mow with my lawn tractor. As said above I do it sailboat style, hiked out on the high side.

If you try to mow it with a lawn tractor, remember do not try to increase the speed going up hill. I have noticed a tendency for the front of my tractor to want to come up, going up hill. I could see situation where I could do a wheelly going up hill. I am sure it would not be pretty with me under the tractor and the blade and wheels going.

As said make sure you have good footing it you use a push or walk behind lawn mower. One slip and you are under the mower. It makes me cringe when I see someone on the top of a steep slope letting the push mower down the slope. One mis step and he would be on/in the mower.

I have both a push mower and a lawn tractor. When we moved into this house I considered some type of boom arrangement to pull the push mower with the tractor. This would allow me to keep the tractor on stable ground and pull the push mower a long the slope.

You have a tricky situation, that you will have to work out so you are in your comfort zone. As said earlier put Safety first, you can not keep your lawn looking nice from a hospital bed or if you are in a cast.

I would probably just use a weed wacker. Just invest in a good weed wacker and some cleats.
