It's hard to say without some background on the growing and environmental conditions. My first question would be, what happened to the leaf stem that was originally at that node, did you prune it off? If not, I'd say it looks like it was pulled downward and it took the epidermis with it. Pith necrosis would cause wilting and marginal leaf necrosis, are any of those symptoms displayed? I highly doubt that's what you're dealing with, as it looks like physical damage from an external source. How is the rest of the plant in terms of growth?
