@studio S: The cabinets are high gloss ABSTRAKT from IKEA(higher end of their cabinet line), we chose grey for the island and white for the rest of it. They are very low maintenance and come with a 25yr warranty.

@grewa002: The island is 'carbone'(attached) from ceasarstone(quartz) and rest of it is 'absolute noir'. The cool part about the island stone is that it pretty much has every color in the kitchen incorporated in it. We went to local granite stores and porcelanosa and fell in love with this stone but it was way over our budget and they were selling it by slab which meant lot of wastage. Then luckily realized that Ikea also sells ceasarstone(some stones might not be in the sample display) and partners with a local store and sells it by sq foot and installs it too!!

@Michell Cabinets, lights, countertop, oven, microwave, cabinet handles are from Ikea. We got a flat 20% off on everything and if not for Ikea, I guess we would have spent a great deal more for the same look.

Other components in the kitchen:
Fridge(Samsung- counter depth), sink(Kohler), faucet(Delta touch faucet- AMAZING!!), dishwasher(Bosch- panel ready), cooktop(Dacor 36"), hood(a local store), custom legs for the island(Mockett).
