Thanks for your question. The plywood timber is Hoop Pine, sourced from Austral Ply (http://www.australply.com.au). We finished with it a Wattyl water-based estapol, which goes on clear and doesn't affect the colour of the underlying ply.

Thanks for your question! The plywood panels have a 10mm gap between them, with the timber stud behind painted the black colour. Good luck with it :)
