I think that you would be better to wait until next year. Those dates are from "planting out" so you would need to add 6-8 weeks to that. See if you can find seedlings in a nursery. Around here there are still tons of them around, but there probably isn't a lot of choice for varieties...

Agree with Linda. It would be late July or early August before they would be ready to transplant. Early to mid-Sept. for any early fruit set and mid-Nov at the earliest before any might ripen.

UofT, I'm in z5 and I'd give it a try too. It's only a few seeds and they may catch up fast. It's all a crap-shoot with the weather anyway. :)

Know any gardeners that grow their own from seed? (Like me). I always start lots of surplus tomatoes for replacements of hailed out, pest ravaged, or wind casualties. I probably have a hundred tomatoes in my "tomato storm shelter" right now that are ready to be planted if I or a friend or neighbor has a need.

I couldn't provide you an Azoychka, (though I grew it one year), but I could give you a Big Sungold Select or one of about 40 better varieties.
