Something is not right... Is there an update going on?

Something is slowing things way down to a crawl... page loading, posting comments or photos...all seem to be really bogged down. I run newly updated Firefox 47.0 (just updated all plugins, too) on a Mac Yosemite OS X 10.10.5. Also having the same issues on the Android app.
Posting photos seems the most troublesome. I get this after I submit a photo, and it grinds and grinds, never resolving. So I get impatient, refresh the page, and the photo is there. But submitting more than one photo takes way longer, and doesn't always work.

haha nope... it got stuck on the second screenshot...
*edit--and now this single screenshot is "stuck". If I refresh the page perhaps they will show anyhow? That has been what I am experiencing with FFox and my Mac.
