    Gorgeous! I love double delight.

I can't wait to see my roses after today.

It's supposed to be 110 where I am in SoCal.

    Already 95.

In my corner of the North Bay Area, it's 72 right now and will get to 85 later today. Next week we're going into mid to high 90s. I think it's only the second time we'll be in the 90s this year so it hasn't been that hot. Yesterday, it lightly rained for about 2 minutes -- really weird for mid-June!

Beautiful roses Haku! I'm up in the Sierras and we had a nice little rainstorm yesterday and into the night. It was pretty darn cold. Down to the 50's. Now it's sunny and warming up. We were just outside working and I had to go from a sweatshirt to a t-shirt! Nice cool breeze blowing too. My husband says we're getting weather more like Washington state. He used to live up there when he was a kid. How close are any of you guys to the fire down there? I grew up in Oxnard. I know it's a good ways south of Santa Barbara where the fire's at. Pretty scary!

I love, love, love your Pretty lady!!! I would have gotten it this year, but HMF says that it has a light fragrance. If only I had known that it had a strong fragrance!! Next year!!

Thank's Beth and Rosecanadian.. Washington does have nice cool weather.. I enjoy :) Beth Im far from the fire.. I live in SGV close to the foothills Its actually cooled off a bit with a warmish breeze... This is the second flush for me Rosecanadian on the Pretty Lady Rose.. Im thinking I may have to move it.. it's currently next to Graham Thomas.. and I think that one gets to be a monster.. I do wish that with the Downton Abbey roses they choose roses that compliment each other.. the growth habit of Anna's Promise and Pretty Lady are very different. But maybe Im wrong... I will have to make a plot for my Downton Abbey Edition Roses and see how they do in a bed together.

Hi Haku! How is your Pretty Lady Rose doing? I just bought 2 pretty lady roses on an impulse... so now I'm looking for a spot for them. I'm in 9b in Northern California... is your Pretty Lady Rose in partial shade? I'm thinking near the front entrance might be nice because of the fragrance and repeat bloom... but it's partial shade. Partial shade is usually not a problem for roses where I'm at because the sun is fairly strong, but thought I would ask! :) Thank you!

Hi Cori Ann sorry for the delay response... my Pretty Lady Rose is getting a slow start it was a rather young rose when I get her... bareroot just planted by the nursery.. I think because its getting too much shade. She gets shade all morning until the sun peaks over the house then its all sun.. but she's also is kinda under a tree.. But I recently saw her again in the nursery and that reminded me why I bought her lol... so this fall i will be moving her to get more sun. Anna's Promise Rose is also in the same flower bed and I recently moved her and she has been growing leaps and bounds. So with that said I would reconsider the placement if its going to get too much shade.

I havent been posting any pictures recently because the majority of my roses have the chili thrip damage :( or just shut down for the summer.. or just uninspired to show the same rose over and over again hehe.. I hope this was helpful to you. Best of luck with your Pretty Lady Rose!

Thank you so much Haku! That helped immensely. I will definitely find a new spot with more sun for Pretty Lady Rose... so she can become a Pretty Lady! ;)

I believe my Pretty Lady Rose has some buds on her.. I will take a few pics and post them for you to see Cori

As promised for Cori Ann... a pic of Pretty Lady Rose

She really is quite pretty isn't she? Such perfect foliage. The dark green, perfectly symmetrical leaves really offset the bright pink blooms. And the blooms seem to keep in a vase for about a week or more! And of course the fragrance too. Very impressed with this rose so far. Thank you for sharing a photo!

Another picture i took for you Cori Ann.. I have to agree with you.. I am also impress with this rose.. she's really opened up more and I can smell her from several feet away. I decided not to move her... even tho shes got a slow start.. Ishes growing on me in that location behind the lavender with the milkweed in front.
