Sans obsession indeed! You definitely went in full speed ahead. I started with plants in general about 4 months ago. I wasn't looking for Sans per se, but they found me and now I'm hooked. We love pics of people's collections so feel free to give us a peek.

I Began collecting rare Jades a few years ago, and then last month a FB friend posted a pic of a Black Gold Superba and I was hooked! Will post pics as soon as I finish repotting all of them...

I am new as well. I was an outdoor gardener until somebody posted something on FB about NASA research on indoor plants improving air quality. Always looking to improve my lot, I bought a few plants off the top of the list and took a shine to Sansevieria the most (OK, second are Spathyphyllum but they are water hogs, easy, low light, but lots of water). I got small plants thinking "well they'll grow" not knowing how slowly they grow. But I did find some nice lush big plants at HD and a wholesale houseplant nursery. One at HD was African Spear aka S. cylindrica and that one sent me off looking for more of the desert types. Biggest source has really clean, big, greenhouse grown unusual species of Sans grown down San Diego way - I've found patens, schweinfurthii, Mutomo Kenya, Coppertone & others there as well as some fine trifasciatas & hahniis. I'm up to maybe 55 plants now, some are duplicates (back up).

Sans growing in your backyard? I understand why you didn't feel any love...here in Los Angeles the ubiquitous landscape plants are Iceberg roses, agapanthus, dietes (fortnight lily), pittosporum - overused!! As it turns out, Iceberg is a very, very good rose, there are some gorgeous agapanthus being developed, etc. I have a new appreciation, it's not the plants' fault some humans have no imagination for variety. Welcome to the Sans crazed.

Thanks, my newest acquisition is an "Eve" that was mailed to me by Hirt's Gardens by mistake; it was supposed to be a "Whitney" that I needed for my collection. The great part is that I had been looking for an"Eve" for weeks, and Hirt's gave me a full refund and let me keep the plant, how awesome!
