I, too, would go with the white. The darker grout produces a more rustic look, and I don't think that's what you're going for. Go with the white - you'll be happy with it!

I would stick with white. It leaves you with more options should you decide to change the flooring/paint/accessories/etc. in the future. And if you decide later you really wish you'd gone dark, it is much easier to stain it brown than to somehow (is there any reasonable way?) get it white.

Do white grout. Anything too dark will draw your attention to the tiles and create a pattern. Keep it classic and subtle and go with a light grout.

Love your penny floor!! I think white would be best in both areas, let the floor tiles be the stars. Perhaps a very pale grey for the room with the penny rounds.

The thing is that I love the pattern and originally planned to do the squares dark. I love the fresh look too, that's why I'm debating. In my brown bathroom I planned all along to go white. I love the definition however and don't mind fading the brown floor tile as I don't love it. I'm wondering if I were to do one room dark grout which should it be and what shade? Also is there a shade after white that could give a bit of devotion without making it too busy ?

I would go dark.

If you use a contrasting color for grout you are creating another pattern in the room. The eye needs a place to rest.

Not a fan of a high contrast with the tile. In the room with the mosaic flooring I would go with a light grey. It will give you just enough contrast to see the pattern you like. Can't tell about the brown room from the pictures.

Most of the time (even at Home Depot) they will have a box of small line samples of all the grout colors. Take a couple pieces of the tile and your paint swatches and put them together with the grout sample to see the effect. You have to find someone at the custom order desk to get access to the sample box. They guard it like gold!

Ok so I went with something called dove gray for the mosaic tile bathroom and the brown bathroom a grout called mobe pearl which kinda has brown undertones but the guy said it will look a bit gray which I want and will just give a hint of contrast. I hope I'll be happy with it, thanks guys!

You may try light blue grey

I agree. Love the penny tile floor. White grout will give a classic look and both the walls and the flooring will get the attention they deserve. Please post a finished picture!

If you wish to get contrast and a bit of a rustic look, go with dark grout. If you wish to achieve more classic look, white grout would be a better option. It all comes down to what do you wish to see in your bathroom.
