Lots of misdirection and misinformation in the demonstrator's speech. To begin with, there is a difference between soap and detergent. I think Sandy makes soap and can give you a more specific explanation. No specifics here on the definition of "fillers". What's in their formula? I don't buy unless there is a list of ingredients and either a free sample or a money back guarantee if the product sparks a reaction as in rash or allergy symptoms in me or my family. $25, too high a price to try. I only use two teaspoons of commercial detergent per load. The Ecco friendly detergent is cheaper and I doubt the party plan gives refunds.

If it's pure soap vs detergent you will get better value with Cal Ben.

Do you have a top loader or a front loader?

Most filler in powder detergent is sodium carbonate. ..as for soap...over time it leaves a scum deposit on all the washers parts. Soap also requires hot or very warm multiple rinses and even than its never fully rinsed out. ..this stuff would be no different than shaving a laundry bar soap and using it. After a few months you will notice clothes looking gray and having an odor and even worse your wadher will develope an odor as mold will grow on the scum left behind.

I know you don't want to hear this my dear...but its a fact..this is why grandma was so happy when synthetic detergent hit the market.

The Norwex page says "The major fillers used in powder detergents are insoluble materials that
cause accumulation and buildup in washers, pumps, pipes, drain lines
and septic tanks— and they can also end up in our waterways. Ultra Power
Plus dissolves completely and does not accumulate or build up." They do not list their ingredients.

Roco, I have a front loader. Mama - I see you see that it's detergent, not soap.

Well the demonstrator is going to give me a sample. I'm not sure I will know from a sample if it will keep my whites white over time though.

Norwex's site says a bag washes "up to 100 loads in an HE machine and up to 66 laundry loads in a conventional machine" while the demonstrator claims she gets 500 loads out of a bag. So I would discount anything she says.

That's what I thought Suburban, but she sent me this chart. This is the chart they use for their laundry detergent. I have an HE front loader with hard water, so it says I can get 261-552 loads per bag.

Odd there is no ingredient list somewhere. Can the consultant get a list? It wouldn't hurt to try it, I guess.

I refuse to use a consultant or become a consultant. Prices are always higher because that is how consultants make a few bucks. These ‘work from home’ consultants are everywhere today. I’ve never met anyone who didn’t end up losing more 💰 hosting than earning. They show you photos of strangers earning big money, yet have you ever personally had a close Trustworthy friend who made it big with hosting home parties? Remember Amway? MLM corps are known for making the founders and executives rich, NOT the consultants. Pease do your research beforehand. You’ll see the lawsuits, women feeling pressured, Ripped-off, etc...

Also, years ago I stopped attending these home parties because I only made ‘guilty purchases’ that cost too much to help out a friend. Only to be asked to host my own home party. 🙄 It‘s like a chain letter that makes gullible people believe good things will happen if I get my friends to do this too.

On to Laundry...

I WAS a fan of Tide, dye free, scent free. However, I didn’t like all the plastic containers or bags going into landfills. I also didn’t like that the ingredients were not Eco-friendly... I wanted more. I care about the safety of my family, nature & recycling.

A dear friend showed me how to make homemade detergent with borax.

I wasn’t keen about Borax but tried it. Clothing wasn’t completely odor free. Moving on.

I saw an ad for TRUE EARTH Laundry sheets. I googled lots of reviews. BTW...If I read any Amazon reviews, I skip to 1-star. Amazon is aware of paid 5-star reviews and working on it.

True Earth has good reviews.. I ordered online. It was cheaper coming to me from Canada than Amazon Prime, as I received a discount. I live in Florida, it’s hot and humid here🥵. I wanted a great product for sensitive skin that cleans an active teenager in sports clothing (socks that stand of their own ☠️) at a fair price that is eco- friendly, concentrated with no scent, no plastic and NOTHING goes in the landfill.

I had to admit, I was very impressed. It’s been over 6 months and I’ve increased my delivery to over 300+ sheets as True Earth sheets take up very little space . You pick how much you want and how often it’s delivered or stop delivery until you need more.. Customer service is excellent. Best laundry product I’ve ever used and nothing goes in a landfill, it’s delivered in thin, cardboard that is recycled. Happy mom!😁
