Great choice of colors! You can do exactly what was done on the house in the picture--Put the gray siding on the first floor and the blue on the second floor. I would paint the trim the same as the photo as well. Congrats on the new house!

Thanks! Would you split the tower into floors? I feel that the tower needs to be one color (blue) to create a sense of height, and maybe the porch is gray? Do you think that would be too disjointed?

That sounds like a great idea for the tower! Having the porch gray would also work! It will not be disjointed because you are already using both colors on the house. If you were doing either of these with a totally different color, then it would look disjointed.
