What a great apartment! I think that your dining area needs color. I would prefer a large art piece rather than a mirror. You could also add a colorful rug.....just make sure that it is large enough.

Hi Kim! I use to have 12ft windows that faced our pool and we used colored sheers!! You can get them in many colors at JC Penney inexpensively. You can use sconces to frame your window in a way to make your window look not to rectangular and with enough fabric you can use then to close at night without blocking all light. Instead of sheer panels get scarves/valance (I'm not sure what exactly the name is but panels are shorter) for more fabric. Also you can just use panels (make sure to get enough. That's a wide window) and get a printed fabric as a scarf/valance for the top and draped down the sides. That will also give you color and fill the space above and to the sides of the window. I see that the window isn't centered so you'll need to have the left side of the window(behind the orange flowers) covered with some fabric which is fine as you aren't using that space anyways. Using the same fabric as the scarf/valance on pillows on the sofa and chair will tie everything together and then when/if you leave you can take it all with you!! I have found choosing a floral with multiple colors especially the ones you're already working with then a sheer in a solid (peach, cream, gold, etc...) works best. Plain white sheers are boring!! Don't forget that bold sconces to hold the scarves/valance are wonderful in small spaces!!! Small rods sometimes get lost but work with it. Happy decorating!!!

Before you drive yourself crazy looking for a rug under the dining table, initially purchase the artwork and lamp. You might find that you do not need the rug.
