Maybe your local transfer station. I make mine using a leaf shredder.

I have"made" leaf mold as well, when I lived on a half acre property. Now however, my first year in a condo, I have not been able to accumulate leaves, etc., that's why I am looking for a source for leaf mold. So far no luck!

If you can't find leaf mold, use shredded bark mulch as a substitute.

Marie, I do both. I shred the leaves in the Fall while dry and put them into large piles for the Winter. In the Spring I use some for mulch and let the rest continue to breakdown more into leaf mold.

Marie -- could you please keep us posted about how well your SunJoe works/lasts? My Flowtron leaf mulcher of many years ago died after just a few uses. After that, I tried an electric leaf vacuum shredder -- don't remember the maker -- which began to shock me violently each time I turned it on. They're both still in the garage, and I'm still mad at them!

Mayalena - in the interim, DH puts the leaves on the lawn and runs over them 1-3 times with the lawn mower, the number depending on how they will be used, the type of leaves and how dry they are.
