Panel-Ready dishwasher AND Electrical

We had 2 panel-ready GE dishwashers in our kitchen plans. We're getting ready to do cabinets and the cabinet maker is telling the builder that they don't have any panels in our line. Our builder is telling us panel-ready isn't going to happen. Can we have a cabinet maker make 2 panels to match our cabinets? Is that crazy? They're lower quality, builder grade.. but we don't want the look of 2 dishwashers that are easily seen from the Great Room.

Also, they ran gas and a 120 for our induction cooktop that requires a 240. Builder says he'll do the 240 when they install cooktop. Does that make any sense?

My cabinet guy made a panel for my dishwasher. I had him make it look like a drawer stack. I don't think a panel is any different than a door....Just have your cabinet guy make a 24x30 door front. Should be a piece of cake.

A panel is just a door without hole bores.

The builder needs to run a completely different line all the way from the breakers to the outlet so they cannot do that when it's being installed.

I had my entire house cut through the ceiling and out through the garage just to upgrade to the 240 for my oven.

They could if they are planning to use the existing wire to fish the new wire back to the panel.
