I have a tan/beige (its in between, kind of darkish) bedroom, with only two small windows and an overhead light - not very well lit - and a dark tan carpet. I cannot paint it or tear out carpet as I am renting it, and its somewhat small (the tan walls do not help). I love light, airy feeling rooms with a lot of natural light - which is obviously not an option. How can I decorate this room (e.g. bedding color/furniture color) so that it doesnt feel as dark and confined? Also - what sort of accent colors work well with beige? I'm a fan of cooler colors but cant figure out how to make it all fit together in one room.
