That is a Sarracenia Purpurea. Plant it in a 50/50 mix of fertilizer free peat moss and perlite. SLOWLY acclimate it to full Sun OUTDOORS. This is not a houseplant and should NOT be kept indoors or in a terrarium.

Agreed. After repotting and finding a nice saucer to hold constant water to put it in, put it outside in as much full shade as you can manage. Over the next two or three weeks, gradually move it out into more sun. It very much matters which part of SoCal you live in: if you're in west LA, it will probably take full sun no problem. If you're in the valley, maybe a bit of late afternoon shade (when it's hottest).
