You could Varnish it; stain & varnish it; enamel it (paint).

Depending on what look you want.

I would put one coat of sealer on the underside to keep it from warping.

Does it have a frame or are the legs attached directly to the tabletop? A large unsupported surface with the grain running in only one direction is weak.

It has a frame. It's plenty sturdy. I would want to stain it to match the frame and legs. I'll look into the stain and varnish option

Is the frame and legs the same wood as the top? Different woods take the same color stain differently. The darker the stain, the less that shows, however.

Stain it(the entire piece, top/bottom/sides/frame/legs) Wipe off the excess(depending on the variety of stain you use--Gel stain is paint more than stain). Hand sand to remove the nibs(220 grit and a sanding block).

Varnish everything that is stained.

OK, so if you stain, make sure every bit of glue residue is gone from along your joints because glue will not accept stain.
