My family room and kitchen are one long narrow space. I have white kitchen cabinets that are glazed with brown. I want to put a wall of book cases on the opposite end in the family room. Is it necessary to use white? I would love to use a stain with a grayish rustic look or metal. But the look needs to be cohesive. Thanks.
