Too many colours in the floor: it's unsettled.

I love the variety in the floor. I would like painted cabinets in a greige colour .

check out the new Kemper cabinet colors-seal and maritime. I would do the seal on the perimeter and maritime for the island. It will go beautifully with your new floor!

what color grout are you choosing? I agree a lot going on with floors (not a bad thing) but agree maybe painted would be more simple, I don't think. a stark white, maybe a cream?

    definitely would go painted.

Beautiful but bold floor choice. Definitely go with a simple, clean cabinet color. Post a picture when you're done!

Here is a little bit better picture. Grout is tobacco. I was leaning towards gray cabinets but now i am not sure.

No room for any island in that narrow little space. A light grey brown would work with the floor colors. Plain cool grey would just be wrong.

The floor is pretty but busy, so I think you want to be simple with cabinets. I love natural stained wood but it might be a little much with your floor, so I'd probably go cream. Don't see gray with that floor but then again I have never been able to jump on the gray bandwagon. Agree with Sophie, you do not appear to have room for an island, at least in the part you are showing us.

I think gray would look great with those floors and really highlight them. it's a great basic, but modern color and the perfect balance with the distressed vibe of the floor. just don't go with a bluish gray...I'd definitely get more of a "griege". Btw...I LOVE that floor!

The island is to the left and unfortunately you cant see it with this pic. Here are the colors of the kemper cabinets that was mentioned above. What do you think??

I agree about the gray for the cabinets and you do not have space for an island and get a counter depth fridge I would keep the gray quite light and maybe a soapstone counter

To be maybe swimming upstream a bit, I would suggest a deep blue or deep red for the cabinets. I am not a fan of grey

I definitely would go with a light to mid tone grey cabinet

I attached a picture of the Kemper oasis color. I think it would be gorgeous with your floor!

I really think a gray-green or blue-gray would be beautiful with your floors. Your flooring has a lot of "wood tones" in it so I'm not sure adding another wood tone in cabinet stain would be best.

I'm the only one it seems. I can see a pale brown gray tone wood cabinet pretty close to the medium light color of one of the floor tiles. Not the lightest. Matte water based finish with no yellowing. And a darker counter to meld with a darker tile. Leathered finish. No open or very prominent grain for the wood choice. White oak rift cut is one option. Amish craftsmen will enjoy working with that. Both choices will extend and soften the floor.

The Amish are such great craftsmen. Did you ask them their opinion on what would go with the floor?

I would stay away from what looks like a dark teal cabinet above. Looks like you've already done that with your existing cabinets and it doesn't look good with your new floor.
