Engineered flooring

Hi - my flooring guy has installed a white German oak engineered floor manufactured by PanTim. Does anyone have experience with this manufacturer? Also the backing on this engineered is what I've seen called vertical pickets or finger strips (they go perpendicular to the top layer), does anyone know if this is better or worse than the typical engineered flooring construction?
