China doll leafshine?

So I have noticed that after awhile and after some time outside and drying out abit, china doll plants lose their dark green and glossy appearance. Ovbiously from drying out just a tad too much.

I have not even tried to spray them with leafshine for many many years, sometime when I was a kid..... so I cant remember if that is what caused that one to die.

Sometimes plants will get yellow if you spray leafshine on them, because it clogs their pores right? I really want my doll's to look nice again, without the dark green shine, they just look like a bush growing on the side of the road.

I'm gonna get some leafshine and try it on the smaller one, which almost died from just being outside in the shade for a couple of days. I'm looking for if anyone uses leafshine and if there is a trick to using it to minize or stop leaf clogging effects.

Thanks
