How did you attach it to the roof of the house?

    The rafters are slightly raised above the shingles and it is not attached to the house.

    Here is the correct answer. The rafter ends of the arbor are attached with hangers to a ledger board that has been secured to the fascia board and rafter tails of the home.

    Thanks for answering. So, the ledger board and hangers are between the facia and the gutter? Are these custom-fabricated hangers?

    We use hangers that have been evaluated by TDI and meet Texas Windstorm code for Zones I, II and III.
