You can paint but not with house paint you have to hire a pro to use a commercial grade coating that is waterproof and submergible not an easy task

You could paint some of the bathrooms, like the ones you use very little. You would need to do some research on which special type of paint to use. I know people who have done it but never doe it myself. Then for the bathrooms you use a lot it is called glazing. You can apply it to tubs and tile and a professional come in to do it. Google this term and do some research for local people in your area and then have them come out and give you a quote.

It is possible and there are paints for ceramic tiles. However, it would be a short term solution and as Rockin' said it should be waterproof or else it will peel up. Having said the above, I have used enamel paints on tiles (in small quantities) and had no problem.

The issue is how much it is used walking on it and water usually will ruin the finish that's why I suggest you hire the job out .

Tile runs up to ceiling and on floor. Thought of addingthin drywall on walls only but fearful of moisture in full baths. Maybe able to do in half bath. Thanks for all your input!

dmkern....look up white knight paint products...there is a video on youtube showing how to paint ceramic tiles. more than one, but you may get some good ideas! :)
