jnnswit...I'm wondering if you made a decision yet. Can I ask why you did not have calcutta grey in your mix of choices. I am debating between organic white and the calcutta grey, only because I thought the Calcutta royal's veining leaned toward a purple tone. But it is so hard to tell in the warehouses. Let me know if you have made any decisions on your countertops.

Enjoymoore, we did consider the grey. It was one of our top three with the organic white and Royal. We ended up narrowing it down to the organic and Royal because we liked more of a veiny look. We ended up choosing the Royal because the base seemed more "white" to us. They did have a newer lot of Royal which looked totally different than the lot we chose from, much more beige and busy. Here is the Royal installed.

Looks Great!! Thanks for the pic. Is that white subway backsplash? Also now that is it installed, does the quartz look "grainy"? I was reading about that on another thread. (it was actually about the silestone) I didn't notice that at all with the quartzmasters, but I like I said, sometimes its hard to see the details in the warehouses.

We are still undecided on the backsplash, I am leaning towards a glass subway tile...I didn't really notice the grain until I looked very closely, and even then it is very slight. I did see others that were much more obvious. I am not sure you can avoid it with Quartz/man made?

Right now, I have white subway tile, and I am going to try save money and keep it. I'll see after the counter in installed. If I was re-doing the whole thing I think the glass tile looks beautiful though.

jnnswit - did your fabricator have to make an appointment for you at Quartzmaster? The stone place I am using had a slab of Organic white on site that I was able to see, but did not have the others. I am also considering the Royal but would like to base my decision off seeing a full slab rather than a sample. Also did you choose your slab at the Quartzmaster warehouse?

kelleg69 - love your backsplash is it carrara or calacutta?

ciscoack - we went twice and did not make an appointment either time. Be sure to have your fabricator's information when you go, they will ask for it. We picked two slabs in the Quartzmaster warehouse that were sent to our fabricator.

You definitely want to see the full slabs. We looked at two different lots of the Royal and they looked completely different.

@ciscoack I am also interested in organic white. Can you tell me what you think of it? Do you agree it appears to have a kind of depth the other marble look alikes lack? Also, did you look at Zodiaq London Sky? Are you still considering real marble at all?

Lana - I only looked at samples of other quartz - not full slabs. When I showed the girl at the showroom my paint colors for my cabinets and walls she said she had the perfect thing for me. She showed me the slab of Organic White that they had brought in for another job, but didn't need. It to me looks the most like carrara marble, and I am pretty picky. I like the smaller veining that the Organic White has as opposed to the larger veining that others have. I was going to take a visit to the Quartermasters warehouse in Bayonne - but since I only needed the one slab for my island (I am doing black granite with a white vein on the perimeter), I just decided to go with the slab they had in stock - and was able to save a little money.

For those of you who have installed Organic White - is it easy to find a marble tile to coordinate?
