The flooring is made of Natural Slate

One thing to consider when remodeling your home is that it is really nice to have all the floors at the same height, so you should communicate your flooring materials early on to your contractor. In this home, several areas had slate (taller) and others had hardwood (shorter). Because of the height of these materials, the areas that had hardwood had a taller subfloor, so that when the home was complete, everything was at the same height.
